Which Green Leafy Vegetables Would Be Best To Use To Achieve Optimal Health?

Green leafy vegetables, or just greens are often discussed when talking about 'health' and becoming 'healthy'. Health advocates and even parents can be heard saying to 'consume additional green leafy vegetables'.

Truth be told... men, women and children need more greens in their diet than they probably realize.

And, people will likely be required to eat way more salads than they probably desire (and have time to eat) to eat the amount of green veggies that are suggested to eat by the natural health advocates.

Furthermore the green vegetables need to be chewed down to basically nothing before swallowed to eventually be assimilated by our bodies. When the healthy greens are not digested appropriately, you shouldn't anticipate the greens to be assimilated. Assimilation is about the nutrients being absorbed into the blood stream and used by the body.

On top of that, if the greens are heated, the majority of the nutrient quotient and enzymes (maybe even all) will be cooked away. Therefore.. consuming greens in the raw state is recommended by raw foodists and other natural health professionals. The problem is, raw green veggies aren't entirely palatable.

But we have a resolution. There is a simple method to get a lot of raw green vegetables in your diet and have them taste very good. Additionally, this solution allows you to digest the green vegetables appropriately...

..We will get to that, but before that, let's answer the query... what type of green veggies are better to consume to contribute to health?

The short answer.. every one of them!

Of course, some of the greens will have a lot more nutritional worth than others, dinosaur kale being one of the most nutritionally dense (which equates to a very healthful green).

The caveat... do not consume the exact same green everyday for several months in a row. Change it around sometimes.

Time for the response to how to consume the raw green veggies, have them tastegood, pre-digest them for simpler digestion, and eat lots of them?

Combine your greens in green smoothies (fruit smoothies with green vegetables mixed in) to put more into your daily diet. Also, blending them will put them to a pre-digested state, giving them the ability to be more quickly assimilated.

Try all green vegetables, best choices being chemical-free and locally grown if available. Buy beet greens, carrot tops, Italian parsley, collards, cilantro (my absolute favourite next to kale), romaine lettuce, spinach and others, as long as they are dark green and leafy!

And adding more than one green in your green smoothie is not an issue. OK, now go ahead and blend your green veggies and achieve health!
